Barnsley Museums’ five heritage attractions also feature prominently in many of his other artworks across South Yorkshire.
This partnership is part of Barnsley Museums’ aim of collaborating with local artists to showcase the borough’s rich heritage.
This launch event was the start of Worsbrough Mill’s programme of activities to mark the mill’s 400th anniversary this year. The day included live music from local singer Tom Masters, and a visit by the Mayor of Barnsley.
Councillor Robin Franklin, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “We are excited to be working with a talented artist to celebrate Worsbrough Mill’s rich history. Adam’s career has gone from strength to strength, with his stunning artworks surprising and delighting those lucky to see them. This collaboration is one of many success stories where Barnsley Museums have collaborated closely with local artists to highlight the borough’s heritage.”
